A downloadable game
MonoTanks is a fast, arcade tank shooter for Playdate — a modern, 1-bit tribute to the classic Battle City. You command a single tank, defend your base, and blast through wave after wave of enemy armor. If you grew up with the NES Battle City (a.k.a. Tank 1990), you'll feel right at home: top-down battles, destructible walls, steel barriers, and that one base you absolutely cannot let fall. MonoTanks takes that timeless formula and rebuilds it for Playdate's crisp black-and-white screen.
This is the free edition — 20 missions to dive in and play for free.
The full version is on the way, packing 100 levels across all worlds with difficulty that ramps up into brutal late-game firefights. It also adds BATTLE mode for fast, high-intensity skirmishes beyond the campaign.

Install instructions
Playdate game (.pdx) — requires a Playdate console or the Playdate Simulator.
Install on Playdate (sideload):
1. Unzip — you'll get a "Monotanks.pdx" folder.
2. Go to https://play.date/account/sideload, sign in (same account as your console).
3. Click Upload, select the zip.
4. On the console: Settings → Games → wait for sync.
